Parking Laws
The Elm Park Neighborhood has limited parking capabilities
and it is appreciated if you please observe all parking rules
to ensure maximum occupancy of available parking spots and a smooth
traffic flow.
Painted Marker Lines - There are yellow marker
lines painted in the streets in the neighborhood to help you identify
those areas where parking is prohibited. These lines mark no parking
areas that include:
20 feet from an intersection
10 feet from a fire hydrant
5 feet from a driveway
Violators can receive a parking ticket for violations.
Vehicles may be towed if it is causing a hazardous situation,
is restricting traffic flow or is blocking access to a driveway.
Resident Parking - There are some streets
where parking is allowed only with resident parking permits. If
you reside in one of these areas and wish to get a resident parking
permit, please contact the Worcester Police Department at (508)
799-8606.
Sidewalks - It is unlawful to park on sidewalks,
block sidewalks with a vehicle or to drive over sidewalks to park
in yards. Violators can receive a parking ticket for violations.
Vehicles may be towed if it is causing a hazardous situation or
is impeding pedestrians using the sidewalks.
Winter Parking Ban
